Our Classroom Environment
My classroom is a nontraditional classroom, because I am fortunate to have the opportunity to co-teach with Mrs. White. This means that Mrs. White and I alternate as the main facilitator as well as we both often meet with students in small groups. Furthermore, many of my students are often working together in a paired setting.
In my classroom I like to always focus on the positive. I have created a "frame worthy work" section in my classroom to frame outstanding work. I rotate the work in these frames as often as needed. Also, I have my students participate in a bucket filling activity, where they write positive notes of praise and thanks to one another. Students may write or fill buckets as often as needed.
